Simon Frank began as an advertising copywriter, later becoming a Creative Director at Ogilvy & Mather, Euro RSCG and Red Cell.  He has won awards at D&AD, British Television Advertising and Cannes.

Eventually, he tired of a life spent making people feel inadequate unless they had a Gold Amex Card, and took up the
screenwriter’s mantle.

He wrote a screenplay called The Dry Cleaner, which won him a TAPS newcomer award. His first short film script, The Mood, was directed by the internationally acclaimed commercials director Fredrik Bond and won the Soho Shorts Film Festival.

He has since written the psychological thrillers Drowning on Dry Land and Harry's Virus (both in development).

Simon also works with a number of charities that help homeless young people off the streets, during the course of which he came across a story that inspired Junkhearts.
